Join Coach Sue Riordan and embark on this transformative journey where you will experience the bucket list trip of a lifetime. It is sure to be filled with awe-inspiring landscapes, thrilling wildlife encounters, and a glimpse into the vibrant local culture. From trekking around Mt. Kilimanjaro, visiting world famous game parks, waterfalls, oasis, Ngorongoro Crater, hiking in the monkey forest, Maasai lodge where we will stay and have the opportunity to dance with the natives. As tradition they do a sunrise and a sunset dance.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to 7,000 wildebeest, 6,000 Black spotted Hyenas, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 Elands, 3,000 Gazelles, 300 Elephants, 30 critically endangered black Rhinos and many small animals like Kobs, Antelopes, Jackals, and Hippos. We will spend a day here on safari observing the dramatic habitat of these amazing beasts. If we get lucky, we will spot Simba! Simba is the Swahili word for lion and there are only around 55 left in the conservation area. Check out this video for a quick tour of the crater.

Tarangire National Park which is home to the largest numbers of elephants and other heavyweight animals.

Springs and waterfalls-We will visit some of the highest most beautiful waterfalls in the world. Visit Chemka Hot Springs- The springs are not actually hot but are the perfect temperature to warm your body at this hidden slice of paradise. Bring your swimsuit, this is going to be a day to remember.

Mt Kilimanjaro- the African continent’s highest peak at 5,895 meters (19,340 feet). The majestic mountain is a snow-capped volcano. While some runners enjoy the extreme trail running experience, we are going to enjoy a low-level hike at the mountain.

We will visit the Serval Wildlife sanctuary center where we can pet the rescued wild animals and take pictures with them.

N&N Tours puts a lot of research and thought into each place they travel. Blending cultural experiences into the itinerary is imperative to their goals of connecting the world. You will spend time with 2 different Tanzanian tribes, the Massai and the Chagga. The Maasai are nomadic people who herd and breed cattle and are known for their lively cultural dance, colorful clothing and beadwork. The Chagga still live in an authentic tribal village. We will visit one of their coffee farms and learn about their traditions first hand

Each morning Sue will offer an optional short yoga session and meditation. At the Maasai Lodge we can join in the sunset and sunrise dance. We will also take the time for self-reflection and journaling. This is where we will set intentions as we embrace this vast experience awaiting us each day. Bringing that same presence into fully engaging all five senses on our excursions, we will surely recapture the wonder of life and self.

Tanzania, known as “the cradle of humanity” where it all began, offers a unique setting for introspection and a fresh perspective. In this land of extraordinary beauty and cultural richness, you will find yourself surrounded by an environment unlike anything you have ever known. It is the perfect place for a reset, offering an opportunity to embrace a new outlook on life. The expansiveness of the landscapes will inspire expansion of ourselves. Witnessing the cycle of life in real time offers us the opportunity to experience our own rebirth and truly be transformed!
