Begin your journey with an overnight flight from the United States to Sofia, Bulgaria. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional Bulgarian welcome dinner. Spend your first full day exploring the historic sights of Sofia, including the Roman roads, catacombs, and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

Kick off your golfing adventure at St. Sofia Golf Club, a serene course redeveloped by Paul McGinley. Next, head to Pravets Golf Course, designed by renowned architect Peter Harradine, offering a challenging 18-hole championship experience.

Travel to Varna and unwind before tackling the stunning cliff-top courses. Start with the Lighthouse Course, designed by Ian Woosnam, followed by the classic links style BlackSeaRama with its remarkable sea views. Conclude with the Thracian Cliffs, a Gary Player signature course known for its dramatic landscapes and the breathtaking 6th hole perched atop a cliff.

After your golfing escapades, return to Sofia for your final evening before departing back to the United States. Enjoy a blend of cultural exploration and world-class golfing in Bulgaria, making memories on some of the country’s most prestigious courses.

Itinerary

Day 1Departure

Today we will depart the United States on our overnight flight to Sofia, Bulgaria.

Day 2Arrival to Sofia

Once you arrive in Sofia it will be early evening, we will store our luggage at the hotel and have a traditional Bulgarian welcome dinner.

Day 3Sofia

We will start our trip by having a nice and gentle first day before we get in to the golf. We will visit some of the sights of Sofia including the Roman roads, the catacombs and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

Day 4St. Sofia Golf Club

For our first course of the trip, we will visit St. Sofia. Set outside the hustle and bustle of the city this is the perfect location to start our journey. Redeveloped in 2012 by Paul McGinley the course is now on par with some of the others in prominent European cities.

Day 5Pravits Golf Course

Today’s round will take place at Pravits golf course. Designed by world renowned golf course architect Peter Harradine, who has designed courses in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and the UAE amongst others. This 18-hole championship course provides a challenge to players of all abiliti

Day 6Travel Day

Today’s we travel from Sophia to Varna where on arrival we will have some time to relax before we hit the course again the following day.

Day 7Lighthouse Course

Today is the first course of our triple header of cliff top courses, The Lighthouse course. This course was designed by Ian Woosnam and is a championship course of the “links” design. Contributing to the stunning scenery are the outstanding landscapes around which Woosnam has created a stunning selection of holes.

Day 8BlackSeaRama Course

Today we will be playing BlackSeaRama, a classic links course with remarkable views of the sea, the similarity of the course with that of some of Scotland’s courses is there for all to see, but Bulgaria is one of the newest golf destinations. With courses like these it won’t be long in establishing itself.

Day 9Thracian Cliffs

Our final course of the trip is the Gary Player signature course Thracian cliffs. This course has been sculpted to fit perfectly into this area creating one of the most wonderful golfing experiences. The signature 6th hole sits on top of the cliff with the green some 40 meters below, a course perfect for rounding out our golfing journey in Bulgaria.

Day 10Travel back to Sofia

After breakfast we travel back to Sofia to prepare for our departure home.

Day 11Departure

Today we will depart back to the United States.
